An unidentified individual was captured on surveillance footage stealing an iPhone from a chair at a Chinese restaurant and bar situated at the corner of Swami Avenue and Don Miguel Road in Barataria. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while the victim was patronizing the establishment. The suspect reportedly took advantage of the unattended device before quickly exiting the premises. Local authorities are reviewing the video evidence to identify the perpetrator.
