A Tunapuna man was attacked and robbed at the Salvatori Carpark on Frederick Street and Independence Square on Monday, March 23, 2026, around 1:30 p.m. He was approached from behind by two young men who struck him, causing him to fall, then beat him while he was on the ground. The assailants robbed the victim of a gold bracelet valued at $6,000 and a Spanish link chain worth $15,000 before fleeing the scene. Both suspects were described as slim, dark-complexioned young men of African descent, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, believed to be in their late teens to early twenties. One wore blue three-quarter jeans and an orange jersey; the other wore a black T-shirt and blue three-quarter jeans. Police are investigating; no arrests reported.
