Police responded to a report from Atlantic LNG's surveillance team around 12:35 am on March 25, 2026, after individuals dressed in dark clothing were seen scaling a fence at the Old Beach Resort within the Heritage compound in Point Fortin. Officers spotted a blue minivan behaving suspiciously on Clifton Hill Beach Road and stopped it with assistance from additional patrol units. Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered two hacksaws, a cordless grinder, and another hacksaw — all suspected housebreaking implements. The four occupants — Brandon Bernard (driver), Christopher Augustine, Donnel Joseph, and Quincy Bowen — were arrested on suspicion of possession of housebreaking implements and loitering. Bernard was additionally charged for driving without a valid permit, as his licence had expired since October 2025. Police seized the housebreaking tools and the vehicle.
