Driver-for-hire robbed by passenger in Laventille

Erica Street, Laventille (destination); South Quay area (pickup), Port of Spain

A driver-for-hire picked up a passenger from the South Quay area around 6:00 p.m. on March 26th and transported him to Erica Street, Laventille. Upon reaching the destination, the passenger ordered the driver to hand over his belongings and escaped with a cellphone, accessories, and cash. The suspect was described as having a similar build to the Marketplace robbery suspect and shared a distinctive gap-toothed feature, raising concerns the incidents may be connected.
