Farmer apprehends suspected livestock thief in Penal pursuit

Penal Rock Road / Morne Diablo, Marac , Princes Town

A sheep was stolen from a property along Penal Rock Road late Sunday, March 22, 2026. The owner pursued the vehicle believed to be carrying the stolen animal and intercepted it at a roadway in Morne Diablo by blocking its path. Officers from Penal Police Station responded and located the vehicle and stolen sheep at the scene. A man matching the farmer's description was identified and questioned. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of larceny of a farm animal and taken into custody pending further investigations.
