A 46-year-old female driver was targeted in a calculated robbery after accepting a ride request from Lamont Street, Longdenville, to the Arouca Health Facility. Upon arrival at the pickup point around 5:00 p.m., she was met by a woman who claimed her brother would also be traveling. As they proceeded along Construction Avenue, the male passenger produced a firearm and ordered the driver into the backseat. A third accomplice then entered the vehicle and took the wheel. The victim was blindfolded and driven to Depot Road, Longdenville, where she was forced out of the car and instructed to count to 180 as the suspects escaped with her vehicle.

Drive-Up Awareness: A rising pattern in Trinidad involves criminals arriving by vehicle and quickly approaching targets in car parks or at road junctions. Stay alert to vehicles that slow down without reason near you — if something feels off, drive to a busier area rather than stopping.
