A man was beaten, doused with chemicals, and assaulted with a power drill at his workplace, a bar in Tunapuna, on Monday. His boss and two other men called him to the stock room, where they beat him and doused him with chemicals before pinning him down. One attacker pressed a power drill against the victim's anus and threatened him with a blowtorch and insecticide. The attackers demanded $20,000 by Saturday or threatened to murder him. Police are investigating the extortion and assault. The Barataria CID is handling the case.
