A Barrackpore man was violently attacked and robbed at a bar on the corner of Henry Street and Independence Square in Port of Spain on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Three men of African descent approached the victim in the restroom, with one striking him on the back of the head and delivering several additional blows to his body while the other two kept watch, then stealing his wallet containing TT$2,800 and his debit cards. The three suspects fled south along Henry Street. The following day at 3:00 a.m. on April 3, the victim discovered 18 unauthorized transactions on his bank account totaling TT$3,816.75, indicating fraudulent use of his stolen debit cards.
