A man attempted to force entry into his wife's apartment on Guayaguayare Road, Mayaro around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, demanding access after she refused him entry and called police. Upon arrival, officers observed the suspect actively trying to gain entry. When they moved to arrest him, he resisted violently, kicking and striking the officers during a prolonged struggle. Additional officers arrived to assist, and the suspect was eventually subdued and placed under arrest. Two police officers were injured during the altercation, and the suspect's cellphone was recovered at the scene.
