A 52-year-old man from Diego Martin reported the theft of his white and blue 12-foot diving dinghy and black Hangkai 18-horsepower engine from a floating jetty at the Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association compound in Chaguaramas. The victim secured the vessel around 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and discovered it missing when he returned around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The dinghy is valued at approximately $22,000 TTD and the engine at $18,000 TTD, for a combined loss of $40,000 TTD. The victim stated he did not authorize anyone to remove the boat. Police constables Espinoza and Phillip attended the scene and investigations are ongoing.
