A 45-year-old Carenage man was shot at by his tenant, 32-year-old Anthony Martin, outside his home at Amowsville Terrace around 1:10 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026. Martin, who occupies the downstairs section of the property, emerged holding a firearm and allegedly fired one shot into the air before turning the weapon toward the victim and pulling the trigger a second time after an exchange of words. The victim ran into his house and immediately contacted police. Officers from the Carenage Police Station responded but Martin had already fled through a nearby bushy area after spotting the approaching police vehicle. WPC Douglas interviewed residents and conducted searches throughout the district, but the suspect was not located. Police described Martin as slim built, brown complexion, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, of mixed descent, with black hair, last seen wearing a dark-coloured top, blue three-quarter pants, and Nike slippers.
