A 33-year-old man from Clarke Road, Penal, was robbed and assaulted by two armed men on Rampersad Trace near a bridge around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, 11th April. The victim was beaten and robbed of $175 in cash, a black Samsung A05 mobile phone, gold earrings valued at $600, and steel-toe boots valued at $700. One suspect was described as East Indian descent, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, slim-built, with lower face covered by a yellow bandana and armed with a firearm. The second suspect was described as a Spanish-speaking national, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, brown-skinned, wearing a black bandana. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Police are investigating; no arrests have been made.
