At approximately 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, officers on mobile patrol in the Arima district responded to a report of a shooting in progress at Moonan Road, Wallerfield. Upon arrival at 10:00 a.m., they discovered a light green Nissan Almera (registration PBW 3643) on the northern side of the roadway, having collided with a concrete wall. Inside the vehicle, officers found 33-year-old Stefon Joseph slumped over with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. The Duty Medical Officer arrived at the scene, pronounced him dead, and ordered the body removed for post-mortem examination at the Forensic Science Centre. Crime Scene Investigators from the S.E.R.U. processed the scene and recovered six spent .40 caliber casings, indicating multiple shots were fired. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
