Daron Weeks, a 44-year-old labourer of 6th Company Road, New Grant, was walking along Bonne Aventure Road in Gasparillo around 1:20 p.m. on Friday when he was confronted by a man from Mappapire Road, Whiteland. The suspect accused Weeks of "watching his wife" before launching a knife attack, stabbing Weeks multiple times in the back. Weeks managed to disarm the suspect and fled to the Gasparillo Police Station, where he reported the incident to police. Responding officers, including PC Meah, later encountered the suspect walking along Bonne Aventure Road and arrested him. During the arrest, the suspect resisted and assaulted the officer, damaging his Motorola G5 cellphone valued at $2,500.
