A 65-year-old partially blind pensioner was robbed at his home in Preysal Village, Couva on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at approximately 9:30 p.m. The victim was seated in his wheelchair in his bedroom watching television when two unidentified men entered through an open front door. One intruder pressed a cold object believed to be a weapon against the victim's left hand and demanded a pouch hidden under his pillow. The suspects made off with approximately TT$17,000 in cash, two gold wedding bands, and a mobile phone valued at TT$250. The suspects exited through the front door and escaped. Police are investigating the incident.
