CunupiaMan Chopped During Dispute Over Illegal Electricity Connection

51-51 Jerningham Junction Road, Cunupia, Charlieville, Chaguanas

Darmindra Bisnath was attacked at his home on Jerningham Junction Road, Cunupia on Thursday, April 23rd after confronting individuals over an alleged illegal electricity connection to his property. Bisnath had removed electrical wires that were allegedly connected to supply electricity to a woman building on state land. Five men later arrived at his home, made threats, and damaged the property during a violent altercation. One man was chopped and injured during the clash. Police response and investigation status were not detailed in the report.
