A 60-year-old man and 17-year-old girl were attacked with a cutlass at a home on Thomas Lane, Riseland, Carnbee, Tobago around 3:45 a.m. on May 1st. The suspect, known to both victims, allegedly attempted to sexually assault the teenage girl before the man intervened to protect her. During the struggle, the attacker inflicted multiple chop wounds across the man's body and a neck injury to the girl before fleeing into nearby bushes. Both victims were transported to Scarborough General Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Police are investigating the incident.
