One Armed Home Invader Killed by Police in Morvant Following Pre-Dawn Robbery

Barataria Area, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

A large home invasion and robbery occurred at a Barataria residence around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, when seven armed intruders confronted two men returning home, forced them inside, and robbed multiple family members of cash, electronics, jewelry, and gaming consoles. Police responded and observed men running into a drain. During the attempt to apprehend them, one suspect, later identified as Antonio of Malick, pointed a firearm at officers, who then discharged their weapons. The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital at 4:06 a.m. Three other suspects (ages 18 to 23) were arrested, and a firearm and ammunition were recovered at the scene.
