Teen killed in shooting during card game (Aaron Henry, 18)

Concord Road, San Juan, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

An 18-year-old teenager Aaron Henry was killed and another man injured during a shooting in San Juan on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at approximately 7:45 p.m. Henry and several others, including 30-year-old Stephon Danclair, were playing cards in the yard at Danclair's home on Concord Road when a dark-coloured Nissan SUV drove past, turned around, and stopped in front of the yard. Multiple gunshots were fired from the vehicle, striking Henry who collapsed to the ground. Danclair was also shot during the attack. Police suspect the incident may be gang or drug-related, with three shooters believed to be involved. Police officers from the North Eastern Division Task Force responded to the scene and found Henry with gunshot injuries. He was rushed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was pronounced dead at 8:12 p.m. Danclair was taken to hospital and remains warded receiving treatment. The suspects fled west in the SUV and remain at large.
