A 60-year-old shopkeeper from Bagatelle No. 2, Scarborough discovered her small business, Ruthie's Food Delights, located at Shaw Park had been broken into and ransacked on Thursday, June 6th, 2025. She had locked up and secured the shop the previous evening, but upon returning around 9:20 a.m., she found the rear door on the southern side of the building had been forcibly broken open. The burglar(s) stole items valued at approximately $905 TT from the premises. Police responded to the report and documented the break-in and theft. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the perpetrators responsible for the burglary.
