Rio ClaroMan Assaulted and Robbed of Samsung Phone Outside Home

Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro (outside victim's residence), Rio Claro, Mayaro - Rio Claro

A man from Guayaguayare Road, Rio Claro was assaulted and robbed outside his residence on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at approximately 9:50 PM. The victim was seated on a Carib beer case at the roadside opposite his home using his Samsung cellphone when a man known to him as "Zando," who lives across the street, approached and suddenly struck him in the right eye. The suspect then grabbed the victim's Samsung cellphone and fled the scene. The injured man reported the incident to Rio Claro Police Station and subsequently sought medical attention at Rio Claro Health Centre.
