A 10-year-old girl was targeted inside her home on Tirite Lane, Malabar on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at approximately 12:45 p.m. when a masked intruder forced entry while her mother was briefly visiting a neighbour. The suspect allegedly grabbed at the child, who screamed and alerted her mother and the neighbour, who rushed back to the residence. The intruder fled the scene before police arrived. He is described as a brown-skinned male with short, messy hair and facial tattoos, wearing a blue hoodie, navy-green shirt, and black shorts. Police are conducting enquiries into the attempted abduction; no arrests have been made at this time.
