Officers of the Northern North Criminal Investigations Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Soursop Crescent, Santa Rosa, Arima on Friday, July 17, 2026. During the search, police discovered packages containing cannabis; the estimated street value is still being determined. Two men, aged 27 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Both suspects were taken to Arima Police Station where investigations are continuing. The operation was coordinated by ASP Balewa, Inspector David, and Sgt Forgenie under the supervision of Superintendent McKenzie.
