A vehicle was stolen at gunpoint in Maraval on March 21, 2026. The stolen car was later recovered by officers of the TPU during a surveillance operation in the St Clair area on Friday, May 16, 2026, bearing false licence plates. A woman known to police was arrested after she approached the vehicle, opened it, and attempted to drive away. Officers intercepted the vehicle and arrested the woman, who was placed in custody of the St Clair CID. A second suspect remained at large as of Friday. The operation was supervised by Superintendent Robert Joseph and Sergeant Virgil and involved members of the TPU Task Force.
