Officers from the Morvant Police Station and the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF) recovered fifteen rounds of ammunition during a planned operation in the Cipriani Avenue and 2nd Caledonia areas of Morvant on May 18, 2026. A search of an area near the basketball court led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing a transparent bag with the ammunition: four rounds of .223mm and eleven rounds of .300mm. The operation was led by W/Snr Supt Guy-Alleyne and Supt Birch, coordinated by Insp Ramsingh, and supervised by Sgt Martin, with a focus on ensuring public safety and targeting illegal firearm activity. The ammunition was seized and transported to the San Juan Police Sub Station for further investigation.
