A woman's grey Hyundai Elantra was broken into while parked on the southern side of the Cocorite Walkover near Mohammed's Bookstore on May 17, 2026 around 1:00 p.m. The victim returned approximately one hour later to discover the left rear window had been smashed. Several items were stolen from her handbag, including $920 in cash, a Samsung A03 cellphone, and multiple pieces of gold jewellery. Police were notified and investigations are ongoing into the vehicle break-in.
