Arima$500,000 Goods Obtained Using Fraudulent Cheque

Malabar Farms, Arima, Carapo , Tunapuna - Piarco

A man identifying himself as Neval Singh presented a fraudulent cheque at Malabar Farms, Arima on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, claiming to represent a contractors company and requesting goods valued at approximately $500,000 TTD. The goods comprised various steaks, Johnsonville Sausages, and 300 cases of cheese. A man of African descent collected the goods in a white Mitsubishi flatbed truck on Monday, May 18, 2026. The bank contacted the company on Tuesday and confirmed the cheque was fraudulent. Police are actively searching for the suspect; investigations are ongoing.
