La HorquettaPolice Seize Glock Pistol, 41 Rounds, 440g Cannabis

Phase 2, La Horquetta and surrounding grassy open lot, Carapo , Tunapuna - Piarco

Officers of the North Central Division Task Force conducted an intelligence-led operation in Phase 2, La Horquetta between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on May 23, 2026, searching the home of a person of interest. Although nothing illegal was found at the residence, officers continued searches in surrounding areas, including a nearby grassy open lot. There, they discovered a Glock .40 pistol fitted with a magazine containing 41 rounds of .40 calibre ammunition, along with a black plastic bag containing 15 transparent packages of cannabis weighing 440 grammes total. The firearm, ammunition, and narcotics were seized; investigations are ongoing.
