Princes TownWoman Monifa Carrie (27) Shot Dead; Boyfriend Critical

Malgretoute Road, Port of Spain

Monifa Carrie, 27, a mother of three from Beetham Gardens, Port of Spain, and her boyfriend Isaiah Cruickshank, 30, were both shot multiple times in their car on May 6, 2026 after another vehicle blocked them along Malgretoute Road, a short distance from a residential area in Princes Town. Carrie was shot multiple times and later succumbed to her injuries. Cruickshank was also shot multiple times in the attack. The circumstances indicate a deliberate ambush by occupants of the blocking vehicle. Investigators are exploring the possibility that this murder is linked to another killing in the area that occurred two weeks later, though the connection remains unconfirmed. Officers are continuing their investigation into the incident.
