San JuanIce Cream Vendor Robbed of $580 at Gunpoint on Eastern Main Road

Eastern Main Road, Petit Bourg, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

An ice cream vendor operating Real Top Quality Home Made Ice Cream along Eastern Main Road in Petit Bourg, San Juan was robbed of $580 in cash, a silver chain, and a Samsung cellular phone at gunpoint on Monday night around 8:40 p.m. A man armed with a firearm approached the vendor, pointed the weapon at him, and demanded he hand over his belongings. Fearing for his safety, the victim complied, surrendering the cash and watch before the suspect ripped a silver chain from his neck and grabbed the phone from atop a freezer. The assailant fled west along Eastern Main Road, then turned north onto Bush Street and escaped. Police officers, including PC Marshall, conducted searches in the area with the victim but did not locate the suspect. The suspect was described as mixed descent, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, brown complexion, slimly built, with an afro hairstyle, thick eyebrows, wearing a black jersey, black three-quarter pants, white Nike sneakers, and a durag covering his face.
