A police officer reported that more than $57,000 worth of gold jewellery disappeared from her handbag while on duty at a police station on June 8, 2026. The officer placed her handbag on a desk inside the Certificate of Character (COC) room before carrying out her assigned duties. Several hours later, at around 4 p.m., she returned to the room and discovered that valuable items were missing from the bag. The stolen property included a Bubble Gucci gold chain valued at $45,000, a Bubble Gucci gold bracelet bearing the initials "KK" valued at $9,000, and a gold ring with a white gemstone valued at approximately $3,800. A theft investigation has been launched into the disappearance of the items from within the police station.
