Officers of the Southern Division conducted Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield on Friday, July 3, 2026, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at a residence on Marjorie Street, Padmore Lane, La Horquetta, acting on intelligence related to a larceny report in the Gasparillo district. During a search conducted under the State of Emergency Powers Regulations, 2026, officers discovered a 9mm firearm magazine containing ten rounds of 9mm ammunition concealed inside a pillowcase in a bedroom. The seized items were conveyed to the Gasparillo Police Station and processed for evidential purposes. A 44-year-old man was detained in connection with the find. Investigations are ongoing under the coordination of Senior Superintendent Hospedales, Superintendent Bertie, and Superintendent Bridglal.
