Snake Valley16 Rounds of 9mm Ammo and Cannabis Seized in Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield

Officers from the Port of Spain Division seized sixteen rounds of apparent 9mm ammunition and 40 grams of cannabis during a search of an abandoned structure at Snake Valley, Laventille on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The seizure was made between 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 2:00 a.m. on Thursday as part of an intelligence-led Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield exercise. Officers conducted a series of searches across multiple locations including Gonzales, Belmont Valley Road, Snake Valley, Laventille Road, and Perseverance Lane, searching four houses and one abandoned structure in total. The Port of Spain Division recovered the contraband during the coordinated operation; no arrests were made in connection with the ammunition and cannabis seizure.
