An illegal firearm was seized by police during an operation on Fireburn Road, Freeport on July 16, 2026, following the armed robbery at 360 Mini-Mart in Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas. The weapon was recovered from a silver Toyota Aqua that was intercepted by officers from multiple police units including the CDGIU, CDTF, CDOPS, Highway Patrol Unit, Freeport Police and Longdenville Police. The firearm was seized as part of a coordinated response that resulted in the arrest of two suspects within 12 minutes of the mini-mart robbery. The seizure was conducted during a lawful police operation; investigations are ongoing.
