Taxi driver stabbed and robbed in Penal attack

A taxi driver was hired at the Penal to Siparia Taxi Stand and was later attacked upon reaching Saney Trace, Siparia on Tuesday. One suspect grabbed him around the neck while another attempted to stab him, injuring his hand during the altercation. The assailants escaped with his Mazda Y12 wagon, valued at $50,000. The injured driver was taken to the Siparia Health Centre for treatment of his injuries. Police are investigating the incident and searching for the suspects responsible for the robbery and assault.
