Armed duo robs Las Lomas grocery store

Las Lomas grocery/supermarket, Caroni South Bank Road, Chin Chin Savanna Village , Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, around 4:15 p.m., two armed men posing as customers robbed a grocery store in Las Lomas #2 on Caroni South Bank Road. The robbers entered the establishment, pretended to shop and brought items to the counter before announcing their real intentions and demanding cash. The victim handed over the day's cash, a quantity of Broadway cigarettes, and a Samsung S10 phone valued at TT$1,500. CCTV footage showed the two men parking a grey Nissan Versa with false plates (PBL-6043) on the compound before entering without masks. The robbers fled the scene in the grey Nissan Versa heading north toward the Piarco area. Police are investigating the incident and searching for the two armed suspects.
