A dispute between a fruit vendor and a customer turned violent on Thursday morning around 9 a.m. at the corner of Akal Road and Bushe Street, San Juan. The stall owner grabbed a cutlass and chopped his customer multiple times following a quarrel, the cause of which was not known. The injured man was taken by relatives to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope where he was treated and listed in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene, leaving behind his stall and produce. Police were investigating the incident. The suspect remained at large as of the time of reporting.
