Accountant and Forklift Operator robbed of $25,000 during car deal

Samdaye Drive, Park Street, Siparia

Two men, an accountant from Chaguanas and a forklift operator from Arouca, were lured to Siparia under the guise of purchasing a Nissan Tiida advertised on Facebook. After initially meeting at the Irwin Park Sporting Complex around 1:30 p.m., they were directed to Samdaye Drive, Park Street, where they were accosted by two men. One suspect, armed with a firearm, announced a robbery and relieved the victims of $25,000 in cash intended for the vehicle purchase, along with their cellular phones. The assailants escaped the scene by running through a nearby track.
