Narcotics seized during Operation Steadyguard house search in Arouca

Home of Priority Offender in Arouca (southern side premises/shed), Arouca, Tunapuna - Piarco

During Operation Steadyguard, a House Search and Drug Block Eradication Exercise conducted on Friday 13th March 2026 around 3:00 p.m., officers proceeded to the home of a Priority Offender in Arouca. A relative was present at the premises and officers conducted a search under SOE Powers Regulations 2026, Section 12. Officers discovered a quantity of cannabis, coloured ecstasy pills, and packets of crystallised methylenedioxymethamphetamine (Molly) concealed in the roof of a shed on the southern side of the premises. The substances were weighed at 229 grams of cannabis, 8.4 grams of ecstasy, and 10.9 grams of Molly. A man was arrested in connection with the find for Possession of Cannabis as well as Possession of Ecstasy and Molly for the Purpose of Trafficking.
