Man arrested for extortion; four vehicles seized in anti-crime operation

Williams Street, Champs Fleurs, San Juan, San Juan - Laventille

A 32-year-old man from Champs Fleurs was arrested during an intelligence-led anti-crime operation conducted by the Anti-Extortion Unit on March 16, 2026, between 4:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. in the St. Joseph Police District. The operation followed multiple reports of demanding money by menaces. Officers proceeded to an address along Williams Street, Champs Fleurs, where the suspect was taken into custody. Police seized four vehicles pending further investigations: a Nissan Y12, a Nissan B15, and two Nissan Tiida motor cars.
