Shotgun seized during anti-crime exercise in Arouca

Lopinot Road, Arouca, Tunapuna - Piarco

Officers of the North Central Division conducted an anti-crime exercise in the Eastern Area on March 24, 2026. At approximately 12:25 p.m., acting on information received, officers proceeded to the Lopinot Road, Arouca area and conducted a search of a forested location off the roadway. During the search, officers discovered one shotgun concealed under tree branches and banana foliage. The firearm was secured and rendered safe, and Crime Scene Investigators processed the exhibit.
