FreeportEmployee Caught on CCTV Stealing $3,900 in Cooking Oil (Noushad Ali)

Fireburn Road, Vasha Foods Ltd warehouse, Freeport, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

An employee at Vasha Foods Ltd warehouse on Fireburn Road, Freeport was arrested after 13 kegs of 18-litre Madre Sol vegetable oil valued at $3,900 were stolen overnight on April 15, 2026. The general manager had secured the stock at 6pm on Wednesday, but the kegs were discovered missing when checks were made shortly after 9am the following day. CCTV footage reviewed by investigators showed the suspect, Noushad Ali, 42, of Calcutta Settlement, removing a pallet containing the kegs and loading them into a company-owned white Isuzu 5-ton truck. Police from Freeport Police Station responded and arrested Ali in connection with the theft.
