LongdenvilleFirearm and Ammunition Seized in Anti-Crime Operation

Thompson Road, Longdenville, Freeport, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

Officers conducted an anti-crime operation on Thompson Road, Longdenville on Monday, April 27, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, acting on information received. During a search of a bedroom at a residence, officers discovered a 36-year-old man on a bed with a firearm nearby and seized the weapon along with five rounds of ammunition. The suspect was arrested for possession of firearm and ammunition and taken to Longdenville Police Post for processing. The firearm and ammunition were later processed at Chaguanas Police Station with assistance from Crime Scene Investigators. The operation was coordinated by Senior Superintendent Bhagwandeen, Superintendent Frank, ASP Reyes, and Inspector Superville.
