Elderly man tied up, robbed in home invasion (84-year-old)

Parakeet Boulevard, Pleasantville, San Fernando

An 84-year-old man was the victim of a home invasion and robbery on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at approximately 2:00 p.m. at his residence on Parakeet Boulevard in Pleasantville. Two masked intruders, both of African descent and slim-built, wearing dark clothing and ski masks, emerged from the northern side of the house. One suspect armed with a cutlass forced the victim inside, tied his hands with cloth, and demanded cash and jewellery at knifepoint. The suspects robbed the victim of $370 in cash, a Digicel Samsung cellphone valued at $1,400, a Samsung flat-screen TV valued at $2,400, and his black Nissan March vehicle (registration PEC 1970, valued at $75,000). The men escaped northbound along Parakeet Boulevard in the stolen vehicle. The victim's common-law wife discovered him tied up on the floor when she returned home around 4:00 p.m. She freed him and contacted police. The investigation is ongoing with no arrests reported at the time of publication.
