An off-duty police officer and a resident were injured in a drive-by shooting on Leander Lane, Corinth Hills, San Fernando on Sunday morning around 7:30 AM. A gunman in a white Nissan Tiida allegedly drove past an apartment complex and opened fire on a group of men near a car wash operating on the compound, shattering windows and piercing homes with bullets. The off-duty officer was grazed on the head by a bullet, while a 32-year-old resident of another building was injured after falling while attempting to escape the gunfire. Both men were treated for minor injuries at San Fernando General Hospital. Police launched an investigation into the attack; residents reported this was the second shooting in the community this year, with another incident occurring in January around 4:30 AM.
