Ste. MadeleineMan Shot Dead in Execution-Style Killing on Petit Morne Phase Two

Petit Morne Phase Two, St Madeleine, Princes Town

A man believed to be in his mid-20s was found shot dead on Petit Morne Phase Two, Ste. Madeleine on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at approximately 6:40 a.m. in what police believe was an execution-style killing. The victim was discovered lying on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds to the face, head, chest and upper back by officers responding to reports from a resident. Investigators recovered eight spent 9mm shell casings, three projectiles and other items of evidential value from the scene. Significantly, the victim was still wearing a large gold chain around his neck when discovered, indicating that robbery was unlikely to have been the motive behind the fatal shooting. The deceased, described as being of African descent, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with an afro hairstyle and short goatee, was pronounced dead at the scene by the District Medical Officer. Police investigations into the killing are ongoing; the victim's identity had not been confirmed at the time of the report.
