Burglars broke into Auntie's Restaurant and Bar in Duncan Village, Lower La Romaine on Saturday, May 23, 2026, stealing $8,000 in cash, premium alcohol valued at $2,600, and cigarettes worth approximately $19,000. The proprietor secured the establishment around 10:25 p.m. on Saturday evening but discovered the break-in when he returned at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Investigators determined that thieves cut through burglar-proofing on a western side window to gain entry, then ransacked the interior and exited through the same window. The stolen alcohol included multiple bottles of Hennessy, Vodka, Puncheon, and White Oak, while cigarette brands taken included Dunhill, Du Maurier, LM, Rothmans, and Lucky Strike. Officers from the San Fernando CID and Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene and processed evidence; inquiries are continuing.
