A 45-year-old supervisor at Darren's Doubles outlet was robbed of $50,000 on Tuesday night when she arrived at her home on Upper Seventh Avenue, Malick, Barataria, around 9 p.m. Two armed bandits ran up to her Nissan X-Trail as she was opening her garage gate, pointed guns at her, and announced a robbery. The men took her Samsung cellphone and ransacked the vehicle, stealing her purse containing her driver's licence, identification, and $50,000 belonging to her employer. The suspects fled through a large concrete drain off Seventh Avenue and were not located despite a police search. Officers from Morvant Police Station responded to the scene and conducted checks for the bandits; no arrests have been made.
