San FernandoFirearm Stolen in Police Station Break-In Recovered in St James

San Fernando Municipal Police Station, San Fernando

A black Smith & Wesson pistol and ammunition were stolen from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station during a break-in on April 19, 2026. Investigators believe the recovered firearm in St James on June 1, 2026 may be one of several weapons taken in that theft. The weapon was discovered during an anti-crime exercise by Western Division Task Force and Gang Intelligence Unit officers at a residence on Upper Belle Vue Road, Long Circular, St James. Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene and the firearm was seized for further examination; three suspects detained at the location are assisting investigations.
