CurepeMan Dies Two Months After Severe Neck Injury in Body Slam Assault (Adrian Samuel, 40)

Near Chaguanas maxi-taxi stand, Curepe, Curepe, Tunapuna - Piarco

Adrian Samuel, 40, suffered a severe neck injury on April 1, 2026 near the Chaguanas maxi-taxi stand in Curepe when another man punched him in the face, then lifted and body-slammed him to the ground. CCTV footage captured the entire encounter, showing Samuel being violently thrown and landing on his neck before the suspect casually left the area. Samuel's condition deteriorated significantly after the incident, leaving him bedridden and dependent on care for the following two months. Samuel died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, after an extended period of hospitalization; his family alleges repeated reports to the St Joseph Police Station were made but no meaningful action was taken.
